January 2008 - ASE Sharepoint Training

Pursuant to ASE's long term plans of adopting Microsoft Sharepoint as its' primary development platform, ASE technical and sales staff attend Microsoft Sharepoint training sessions. A wealth of information about Sharepoint both technical and non-technical was bought back to the ASE offices. Finally, the technocrats and the marketing people are excited about the same thing, singing the same tune. I hope it lasts.

April 2007 - Call Center Efficiency Improved

Voip Pty Ltd recently commissioned the state-of-the-art Alcatel Omni PCX phone system at the Call Center operated by the primary NSW gaming authority.  As part of the project, the client requested the Omni PCX system be integrated with the existing agent management system. The challenge was to improve Call Center operations by providing Operators with key Agent information at the point of contact. Existing workflows provided the Operators with no information, which Agent they were talking too, Agent location or the Agent’s transaction history.

In recognition of skills and experience in systems integration and database systems, VoIP partnered with ASE Pty Ltd to answer the challenge and integrate the two disparate systems.

ASE provided a bridging application that brokers information between the Omni PCX and the client’s agent management database to create an efficient workflow for Call Center Operators. The application utilises the Omni PCX CTI to interface with the telephony server, detecting inbound and outbound calls.  On notification, the agent management database is interrogated and information validated. The result is a real time report detailing the call event, agent details, service history and miscellaneous information.

From a technical perspective the project was a success for all concerned, delivered on time, on budget and with full compliance. The real key success factor of the project; the relationship formed between ASE Pty Ltd, VoIP Pty Ltd and the client.
